Geierlay

Backblip day1 of our trip to the Eifel.

We started our short trip to the Eifel with a visit at the Geierlay.
The Geierlay is one of the longest suspension bridges in Germany.
It is opened in 2015, has a span range of 360 metres (1,180 ft) and is up to 100 metres (330 ft) above ground.
There are bracings to prevent the bridge from to much vibrations, but 20% of the visitors refuse to pass it. J. and Omo had no problems at all :-)
Later we arrived our holiday home in Mayen.
In the extra you can see the Genoveva Castel in Mayen.
