Gratefully Received

My garden has become a bird nursery, with baby birds everywhere :-))
This poor frazzled parent has had four fledglings tweeting and demanding food all day. I think it must have searched under every leaf in the garden for bugs to feed these hungry mouths.........occasionally it visited the fat balls, peanuts and sunflower hearts as well, so the chicks are getting varied diet :-)
Blue Tits are such attentive parents and seem to look after the fledglings for quite some time, whereas the Goldfinches seem to bring their youngsters to the feeders and leave them to it.
Both methods appear to be successful at the end of the season with most of the young surviving to adulthood but I can't help feeling that the Blue Tits are nicer neighbours who behave impeccably at the feeders, whereas the Goldfinches are loud, greedy and argumentative...........just saying ;-)))
