Male Rufous Hummingbird

This is a male Rufous Hummingbird posing for me on the garden feeder. I'm so happy to see him there. I love the bright gorget and orange feathers. I took him with my long lens from inside my house. I'm using that camera to get ready for my trip to Africa in July.

I packed for our Father's Day weekend trip and then went to a dentist appointment. I had two cavities that needed filling. One turned out to be a doozy. Big and complicated. But luckily my dentist and his wife/assistant are top notch and they did the job. I've been going to the same dentist since 1990. Pretty amazing actually. And I really like everybody in the office.

Time to finish this up. Soon Shelly will call and I'll pick him up and bring him here for dinner. He's at home packing for our trip as well.
