River of Flowers

Wednesday: Ynys Gorad Goch #Anglesey

Another beautiful morning.
Planted tiny seedlings of red and green curly kale into cells, have had no success with these in the past, fingers crossed ...
Also finished planting up the second bed behind garage, seedlings of chard and kale and sowed seeds of beetroot, kohl rabi, onions, lobjoits lettuce and cabbage.
Met up with my new cousins and gave them the last of the plants. Went into Menai Bridge town to drop books for my friend who is recently bereaved, spoke with her son and promised to call again in a few weeks.
Drove on to Gaerwen, taking a photo of the Strait on the way.
Had the car tyres checked and there's a few months wear in them yet!
Coffee and toast at the garden centre which turned into a happy reunion with an old pal from the 1970s, I worked for the Water Board and she was in Vehicle Licensing. She's recently retired from the university and is 3 years younger than me. We had a good old natter and may meet up again soon ...
Extra photo of the Bridge and Elderflower ...
Apparently Storm Hector is on its way, it's already started raining (no need to water the veggies tonight!) and its very windy, fingers crossed there's no damage, even though some damsons have already fallen!!
