An ordinary life....

When in Rome...

I received notification yesterday that our new garden furniture would be delivered between 7.30am and 9.30am today.  David set his alarm for 7.00am.  Unfortunately when the alarm rang he switched it off and went straight back to sleep!  Fortunately my internal alarm clock kicked in and I woke up at 7.30am on the dot!  A few minutes later my phone rang and it was the delivery team to advise they would be with us between 8 and 8.30am.  Phew!

Of course, as predicted, the arrival of our new furniture heralds the arrival of the rain.  I am sure I read somewhere that Storm Hector is due to hit over the next 24-48 hours but then hopefully the sun will return.  I am hoping I will be trying out the new garden chairs in the sunshine by the weekend.

David went to collect Alan's pal Andrew late morning and they were back here in time for midday.  Ally was here with Alan today and she decided they would head to Largs and get the ferry to Millport so off they went.  Sadly the rain was chucking it down when they got to Largs but they sailed over to Millport regardless and spent a while there.  Sadly no photographs at Crocodile Rock.

Once back in Largs, they did what any sensible person would do and headed to the pub!  :-)  They're not long back and Andrew is raving about how much he enjoyed his bar supper of fish and chips and in spite of the rain they had  brilliant time.

I have done absolutely nothing of worth all day apart from writing a couple of to do lists and booking a tesco delivery for Friday.

This afternoon Lola had a lovely walk on the moor with David where her recall was excellent (even when she was in water she came when called) her manners when other dogs / people were in the vicinity were impeccable (sitting quietly to get her lead on then playing beautifully off lead with the pooches) then walking perfectly on a loose lead.  Light years away from the training last night, the least said about the better!!!  :-)))
