Another beautiful day - warm and bright. This is the view of our house from the Fairy Walk, now full of head-high copper coloured bracken. The alders and birches have lost their leaves, and you can just spot the polytunnel.

An enjoyable day at school doing 'Birds'. The task was to learn how to do a spot of research - books were provided and Eddy was busy finding interesting things about herons. An exclamation filled the room ' It says here herons have white underpants!' On closer inspection it proved they had white 'underparts' .Easily mistaken.

Tonight's arthouse if Free Men, a French film based on a true event during WW2 when a group of Muslims sheltered some persecuted Jews in their Parisian mosque. The trailer looks good if a bit harrowing. I will report back.
