Tracks in the sand

A much calmer evening after the strong winds of Storm Hector earlier in the day. Watched the opening match of the World Cup - hosts Russia won 5-0 against Saudi Arabia in a match between the two lowest ranked teams in the competition. Presumably the low Russian ranking is partly a reflection of not having to qualify and therefore missing out on ranking points in competitive matches while all the other teams, by definition, have done well in the last couple of years. The blip was taken on my way back from an Art Walk meeting - planning is advancing for this year's event in September. There will be a strong performance element this year, along with the regular 'Art Houses' and some 'Art in Shops'.
