Sharing Space

Dear Diary,

This little chippy hung out in the garden with me.  He is there most days and particularly likes this perch on the fence so he can survey the orchard beyond.  The sun must have felt good on his back and I just love those wee ears, barely visible.

I share space with a lot of creatures and I feel that a garden just isn't a garden without their presence.  I never feel alone because I know that they are scurrying, scampering, hopping and slithering around me.  I wish people would understand that creatures share the world with us and we should learn to co-exist.  They have as much a right to be here as we do.
