Lathyrus Odoratus

Sir Jimmy Shand

This year I've been growing some varieties of "stripped" Spencer-type sweet peas.  Stripped flowers have petals with mottled colour on one side and a picotee edge. The only one to flower so far is a variety called Sir Jimmy Shand which has a lilac stripe on a white ground. Named after the Scottish accordionist this variety was first introduced in 2008.
