When Fergus went to Ullapool

We stopped at Lochgilphead so Fergus could have a walk. We have found that it is a good idea to break journeys more often with Fergus, and let him have a walk and some fresh air.

Lunch in Benderloch at the Ben Lora cafe and bookshop. They have outside tables under an awning. Fresh air and dog friendly. Perfect.

Next stop was Fort William. Cheapest petrol on the West coast.
We took Fergus for a walk along the main street and had a look for the new bookshop. Always useful to know for any future visits.

Afternoon tea/coffee in Beauly at Corner on the Square, which has a few outside tables. Fergus was provided with a bowl of fresh water. Nice touch.

Onwards ... and we got into Ullapool just before 5pm.
We were pleased that the weather held for the trip. Heavy showers had been forecast with possibility of flash floods and so on, but we saw nest to no rain at all.

Holiday cottage just along the road from where we have stayed the last few times in Ullapool. Same owners, and we have stayed in it once before (2014). Nice new bathroom installed since our last visit.

Fergus seemed fine after the long drive and more than happy to go walking along the seafront.
