Nothing is as simple as expected

We took away the kayaks, the bicycles, the lawn mower and started the demolition. In this picture we've reached a crucial stage where taking away one more support may lead to a rapid collapse of the rest. We decided to remove all the construction timber and are half-way through that task here.
Next we removed one more support, then another, then a third, and still it didn't fall over!  At the end the two metal sections were left leaning against each other with no support whatsoever. We used a rope to pull one of them away and finally the whole structure was down.
There was still a lot of clearing up to do but eventually we had a large empty space.
It turns out there is quite a slope from the back left corner to the front right corner so we are going to have to fix that before we put up the tent. Perhaps tomorrow's job. Nothing is as simple as it could be!
Finally, very warm, sweaty, and tired, we took ourselves off to the swimming place and finished our outdoor day with a cooling dip.
