When Life Throws you a Lemon .....

.... make lemonade:-)  This old saying went round in my head today as we picked some lemons from our own tree to make a drink and pondered on how lucky things had turned out after a shaky start to this holiday:-)

We had a quiet day at the ranch today, enjoying time in the pool and just relaxing in the shade as the temperature rose to 32 degrees.  It wasn't meant to be this hot in June, but their weather is like ours and does its own thing:-)  Had a lovely barbecue later when it cooled down a bit and decided that the Spanish really know how to make delicious sausages - a talent the French seem to lack!!

There are some lovely plants in pots on the patio and steps to the house (see Extras) and they seem to be home to a family of geckos which we enjoy watching as we eat our meals al fresco.  We have also seen a humming bird moth several times and a huge snake in the garden too (not poisonous, to our relief!)
