Red Bush ?

We inherited a fairly well established garden from the previous owners and there are still some bits of it that we have not been able to identify. This bush with red flowers is one of the unknown species so I would be grateful for anyone's suggestions on its real identity. What I really liked about this image was not so much  the red flowers which are not as quite pin sharp as I would like them to be but the marvellous sheen on some of the leaves - definitely glossy.I think it might be escallonia 'Red Dream'
