An ordinary life....

Puppy's Party...

Well it was fab!  :-))

We were at the venue just after 11.30.  David and Lola went straight there but I travelled with Alan and Christine in Alan's car and we made a slight detour as Alan wanted to drive past our old house.  What a lad!

When we arrived the balloons and bunting were up, the tables were laden with food and the dogs were chasing each other and generally having the time of their lives.  Thankfully Christine, Alan and I missed that first ten minutes of them getting together where it was complete mayhem and by the time we got there they had calmed down a little and were playing beautifully (although Lola did get a telling off from her mum Lily for stealing her ball! :-)

We all sat in the sunshine and had a lovely lunch as well as a huge slice of that delicious cake that is sitting so provocatively in front of the squad.  Thankfully my doggy carrot cupcakes "iced" with Primula cheese spread,  were thoroughly enjoyed by the dogs.

We really did have the most wonderful afternoon.  Carole excelled herself in making sure the puppies had the best birthday party ever.  It's just a shame that due to holidays and distance, only four of Lily's litter could make it today but with their mum and aunt there too, making six Goldens in all, we were totally spoiled.

I have taken loads of photos and it will take forever to edit them but just had to quickly edit this group shot for my blip today.

My niece Jennifer was loving it, especially at the end when she was sitting on the floor taking photos on her phone and the dogs all piled on her :-))

Gunnar was the only male Golden (till his brother Ted arrived :-) and he is such a quiet, shy, gentle boy.  The girls were literally running rings round him.  Ted and Lola are almost identical and Ted's mum (my friend Janice) and I could only tell them apart at times by having a quick look at their undercarriage!  We also learned that apparently their dad is a chewer so now I know where Lola gets it from!

Once home Lola ate her dinner and has been flaked out on the floor since!  :-))

Now I must try and tear myself away from editing party photos and get myself packed for our two days away in Whitley Bay.  Going to see Rufus Wainwright tomorrow night.  Can't wait! :-)

Lola's actual birthday is Tuesday but we're not back till Wednesday so we will have a belated family celebration and she will get her pressies then.  I  am sure she won't mind it being a day late :-)
