View Into the Oasis Garden

Drippy: that pretty much describes the weather! But I managed to spend 15 minutes at the Arboretum before the big wave of moisture hit in the morning. I've shown you lots of pictures of the Arboretum's lily pond, but on this day, I thought I'd step back and give you a bigger view of things. This is a shot of the larger area known as the oasis garden.

The Arboretum's horticulturists have created an amazing planter full of succulents - it sits between some benches behind the trees. I thought it would be fun to take my picture focusing on the largest succulent in the foreground, which almost looked like a creature of some kind, maybe an octopus!
