When Fergus went Swimming Again

(although there was a lot of wading too ...)

More Summery Hotness.

In almost a repeat of yesterday Fergus and I went for a walk after lunch out to the old shipyard and wandered out the shore path to Slaty Farlan. It felt really hot again. At the beginning of the shore path we went onto the pebbly/stony beach and I let Fergus off his lead. He went into the sea, did a very small amount of swimming and set off to wade along in the water parallel to the shore. I followed along the beach and when he came out I popped his lead back on and off we went along the path to Slaty Farlan.

At Slaty Farlan I took his lead off again. He went into the water and swam about while I had a sit down on a big rock. Then some more wading and watching intently from the shallows as a Springer Spaniel went along the path with its owners. Once the Spaniel was gone he was happy to go back in the water.

Like yesterday I gave him a last chance to cool down at the Trench Point spot and he did some more wading rather than going in deep to swim. On the way back we went along the Esplanade to the harbour to record the enormous wind turbine bits on the new quay.

On the little beach at Dalintober there were 6 women (yesterday there were two). Most were in bikinis. I wonder if this event will make the local paper. The three lads jumping off the old pier into the sea would scarce get a mention.
