Julia Rose

I’ve blipped this before, but looking so good this year, here is again. The Julia Rose (my sister was called Julia) that I felt obliged to bring from Mum’s garden after she passed. It’s not the easiest of roses to keep but I know Mum would be pleased that I have managed not to kill it!

Up the Ladder Part 2
So, after the debacle of Friday evening, this morning, a day late, we googled! Definitely should have done that first. The lovely new dish only has two inputs and to run the cable to the bedroom it needs 4. The bedroom tv is only used on weekday mornings for weather and trVel news before heading off to work, and of course if either of us becomes bed bound for whatever reason, it is the ‘just in case’ tv. It was Mum’s ‘in case of’ and rarely used, so very serviceable. Now no aerial and no wish to spend a lot of money on fixing one, we are using the Amazon fire stick for the time being with tv player app.

Late news
For Christmas 2017 we bought Dinner and Show tickets for two of our sons and their partners. Son no. 1 booked his for Valentines Day celebration and the Beast from the East hit and they couldn’t get to London for it! Yesterday Son no. 3, booked theirs for yesterday as a birthday weekend celebration. They went to London early, booked into their hotel, had a wander, had beers in Covent Garden, had their meal nd went to the theatre. Half n hour after the show should have started, a lone man walked onto the stage and apologised for cancelling Aladdin tonight but there was no water anywhere in the theatre. They were very upset and I don’t think I will buy those sort of presents again!
