Music in the sun

MrM was playing with the jazz band at Whitton Grange this afternoon, at an Open Garden event in aid of HospiceCare North Northumberland. A lovely, sociable afternoon - the sun shone, the gardens were fabulous, the music good, and there was cake! And I could't resist buying a couple of geraniums from the plant stall. Hopefully, lots of money was raised for HospiceCare.

That over, MrM drove us to Harwood Forest, with a stop for a very late picnic lunch en route. After driving through several miles of forest tracks, we had a walk through the woods so that MrM could retrieve his wildlife camera. Unfortunately, the photos showed no evidence of red squirrels, but there were 180 shots of some very clever jays eating nuts and seeds from the feeder!

Home in time to watch Croatia vs. Denmark.
