Life through the lens...

By ValC

An eventful evening.

Stacking up “ Brownie Points”.
Two good deeds in a day!

Early evening we were on our way to DIL’s to water the garden, when I spotted a lady lying on the pavement.
Shouted to MrC to stop the car.
We pulled in by the village park. I jumped out, and ran back to see if she was OK.
By the time I got there she had sat up, but couldn’t stand.
A young boy on a bike also stopped, and we managed to get her onto her feet.
She was badly shaken, and said she had bruised her ribs.
I found out she had just returned from a day out with the local Towns Women’s Guild. Was walking home, which was about a mile up the road.
Mr C had arrived by now, so we took her back to the car, and drove her home.
Her husband seemed a bit frail, and was deaf, however he was greatful his wife was home safe and sound, and she couldn’t thank us enough.

So on to the watering, and then back home to do ours.

Quite an eventful evening!

Photo taken of the little beck running by DIL’s garden. Not a lot of water in it at the moment, but the blackberries are looking good.
