Another visitor to the buddleia!

I have also backblipped yesterday's It didn't fly off ........ do hope you will have a look ..... thanks to those who already have :-)

Not sure if this is a hoverfly or a bee ...... I think it's the former ...... but if anyone out there knows for sure ......?

Whichever it is ...... it kindly settled on the buddleia leaf & waited patiently for me to take this ....... I say patiently ...... it did only stay for this one photo .... but that was enough!

We seemed to have joined in with the rest of the country ..... we are now 'enjoying' the heatwave too! In fact it seems 'too hot' for butterflies ...... as there have been none on the buddleia today!

For the last week or so we have had a cool NE wind ..... straight off the North Sea which has kept the temperatures lower & the air fresher ...... in fact for several days it was very windy! We have now lost that wind/breeze ...... in fact upstairs in the house it's a bit like breathing treacle ....... not pleasant for blipping (the computer is in the spare room ...... no spare electric sockets downstairs!) Still ...... the show blipping must go on!
