Gently down the stream

Pedal Paddle Pace

Today I decided to get my blip from Winchester's 'Pedal Paddle Pace'. a kind of triathlon event being run in various places round the country to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.  This, obviously, is the cycle leg.  There is also running and kayaking.

This shot was taken on the corner of Fair Lane, up on Morn Hill.  Because of the paucity of Sunday buses I had to get up pretty early and walk up there.  Still, I thought, at that time of the morning it will be cool.  Wrong!

It was fascinating to see the range of people and abilities taking part.  This shows the fast first wave turning down the lane for a big circuit round the villages of Easton and the Worthies.

In Extras the main woman only has approx 3K to go, much of it downhill.  Probably why she's smiling.  The other two women are in the second (slower) wave and still have their circuit to do.

(Yes, okay, apologies, I did change them round!)

Happy Sunday evening and wishing you all a good start to the week  xx

Don't forget, WFW04 ends today.  I will give hearts and put up a list by Wednesday.  From tomorrow, please tag your entries #WFW05
