The first flower on the courgette, but let's see how well it does. If I remember rightly we had trouble with them in Spain as the fruit would grow a little and then drop off....

I went into Derby today, mainly to apply for my bus pass - now called a Gold Card although I'm not sure whether I like that name - because YES I am now an OAP!!!  No it's not my birthday as the two events no longer coincide. 

While in town I bought a load of fruit and veg from Martins in the Intu Centre market (see extra) where plastic packaging can be avoided totally if you choose, they even provide biodegradeable carrier bags for your purchases.
