Summer sunsets

I caught a glimpse of the sunset on the way home from an afternoon of examining. I couldn't wait to get home to take a photo - I would've liked to have got it a few minutes earlier when it was a really red fireball, but this works well too. 

A good day today - Dr E came back from Dubai last night so had a quick coffee with her before work, and then met with other friends for dinner tonight in one of Kuwait's many Lebanese restaurants, Babel. Stunning location and good food. Even better company! We realised that it was almost a year ago we all met (13 July) at a tour for members of the expat group I belong to, of the Grand Mosque. 

Grateful for nice friends, especially when so far from home.
