There are crocs in the pond

Before hitting the shops to start the Christmas shopping we went for a walk round Figgate Burn pond. This park featured heavily in my childhood. Many was the time I cam home soaking wet and muddy from trying to 'jump the burn'. I hadn't been here for many years and was looking forward to walking round it and enjoying the late sun.

By the time we got there the sun had gone away and it was raining so we contented ourselves with a short walk round the pond, and yes, there were crocs in the pond.

In defiance of all sorts of laws of dynamics, they looked as if they had been neatly placed on top of the water, waiting for their owner to step back into them. Samuel noticed that they were actually tangled up in a bit of fishing line.

Nice blotch of strong colour, though, on an otherwise washed out and desaturated afternoon.
