Upstairs

Had to wait in for the gas man to service the boiler this morning, but we had a lovely afternoon and evening to compensate.  We picked up friends L & A and drove to Aberfeldy to visit the lovely community cinema "The Birks".

The film was called "Leave No Trace" and it was an unusual, very well acted and subtle portrayal of the effects of PTSD on a widowed U.S. Army veteran and his young teenage daughter.  Well worth seeing if you can and it will leave a lasting impression on you.

After the film we went for a delicious meal at "Upstairs at the Town House", where I took this photo of the stairs on the way up!  The building has been completely and very tastefully refurbished in recent years, in a style that is distinctly Scottish but without the tartan overkill (see Extras).  Very friendly and efficient service and great food means that it's somewhere we'll be visiting again.

Pouring with rain as we left, which means that TJ didn't have to water the garden for the first night in ages:-)
