Happy Camper

The Little Misses went to the first of three sessions at Apple "Summer Camp" today.
Today it was film making with Clips.
Miss L was surprisingly nervous this morning, not knowing what to expect. When she gets worried about new, unknown things it always takes me by surprise because she usually takes everything in her stride. I need to remember she's not as unflappable as she seems!!
That said, she LOVED the camp!
There were four other kids there - two brothers and another two girls. None of them got a look in with my two leaping to answer every question, practically falling off their seats in their efforts to stretch their hands up higher.
It was like watching Hermione Granger on speed!!!!
But they were enthusiastic and engaged - the others were like little mutes who wanted to sink through the floor rather than speak to anyone or make eye contact!!
They babbled on about videos they've already made, finishing each other's sentences and tripping over themselves to talk about their favourite films, characters and Apple products!
I was torn between pride at their confidence and mortification at their precociousness.
All the kids were paired up with someone they didn't know and interviewed each other. They had to use long shots, medium shots and close ups. Then they added effects and filters.
Obviously as many effects and filters as possible because they're not a generation which believes less is more!!!
It was ace.
We came home and had a lazy afternoon.
I had planned to sort the clothes mountain and clear the dining room table (which I haven't seen for a couple  of months) but I got a bit waylaid by the sofa and several episodes of Eastenders. Sigh.
