I planted a rowan (or mountain ash) tree in two of my gardens, and they gave me a lot of pleasure over the years with the blossom and then the berries... followed by clouds of starlings squawking over the feast! I love to see rowans in the wild too, but for the moment I'm enjoying this one in a neighbour's garden :-)
