Sun through ground glass

Sun through ground glass is a meteorological term that I've always liked from my Met Office days, and it's when there's altostratus (mid level) cloud covering the sky but you can still see the sun, as if it was through ground glass. You can sometimes see a halo around the sun when this happens too, and I managed to get one on some of the other shots.
As it wasn't raining and meant to be sunny today we decided to do a big walk from the house down to the beach and back. We live at the top of the village on a hill so it's a bit of a trek, but worthwhile. We went down the glen, along Seamill beach, and then back home. Got some other great shots too (so loving my camera).
Not sure how good it was doing such a walk with dodgy leg and foot, but that's what ibuprofen is for.
Need to do some more sketchbook stuff while there's some daylight left.
