Taking Duma for a Walk

Today I took Duma out for some time in my sunny back garden. I put his harness on inside out but it still worked. Duma loves to be in the garden and he spent his time checking everything out. I spent mine photographing one of the female Rufous Hummingbirds at the feeder. 

The back garden is very neat and together thanks to Raven's having spent five hours trimming back all the overgrown plants around the edge a day or two ago. And weeding the beds and path to the gate. It looks terrific and was the perfect place for a family gathering later in the day. 

I gave a family party in the evening and we all sat outside eating fresh sockeye salmon, salad and a yummy Greek baked goodie that I got frozen at Trader Joe's and baked in time for dinner. (I love that store.) We talked and laughed and had a lovely time together. It was our last chance to party before I take off on Sunday. Shelly stayed and after I did the dishes we spent a quiet time together. Just a few days to see him before I leave as well. I'm going to miss everybody, but I know I'm also going to have the adventure (in a good way) of my life.
