The Edge of the Wold

Reflections

I was up before the dawn, and from the top of Arnside Knott watched the sun rise above the cloud of fog that enveloped the estuary and the village. A day full of sunshine and promise.

A day to reflect and remember, to remember all those who have been lost defending our freedom, and to remember those friends and family who have passed away this year.

I took a lot of photographs when I was out this morning, presenting myself with the usual weekend blip dilemma. But I went for the stately swan cruising through a coloured mosaic of reflections. It seemed appropriate for the day.
