Acid Mothers Temple

Crazy psych merchants Acid Mothers Temple were an unlikely part of the bill at Bluedot and I should think the majority of people who saw them were more bemused than anything else. But for me they pulled off the set of the weekend. Crazy pummelling rhythms, all long hair, screaming guitar and anarchic drumming. Pity then Higashi Hiroshi’s synth gave up in the last song, forcing him to go back stage to look for a screwdriver as the band played on anyway. Fortunately for all, the finale was a good 20 minutes or so and after 10 minutes of fiddling we were back up and running for a tremendous climax. Just stupendous and pips Numan to the highlight of the festival.
