Apokorona is burning

Homeward bound after a lovely visit to mr. Leonidakis in Moundros, we were directed off the highway with all the traffic that we followed and that followed us. The smoke we'd spotted a little earlier already in the distance nearby Vrisses and driving the old roads via Georgoupoli and Vamos we had view over the region where the fire develops so fast and over some 15 kms.  The tele reports that fall out from electric also in Chania is feared and the fall of night for the region endangered by the fire will be tense and awake for all.
Wind and warm temps of 40°C aren't helpful to extinguish this fire quickly... Goosepimps on my skin now

... We're safe in Chania, but the news brings live-reports from fires near Athens = Rafina, where my friends live and I'm bound to go to by the end of this week... they were not able to speak from the phone... busy keeping safe! OMG tomorrow I hope to contact them
