Katy-Did-It (or Not)

I looked high up on the wall next to my front door and saw this bright green thing on the tan stucco wall. I couldn't even make it out very clearly until i looked through my zoom lens.

I never saw a katydid before but I assumed that's what it was. I think it's the mesquite variety

EDIT: Turns out, thanks to my astute blip friends, that it's a praying mantis. Tells you how much (or often) I see bugs of any sort. I have an exterminator spray 6 times a year. But it is pretty weird to have been where it was.
