Lords and Ladies

... I present to you ... Cuckoo Pint. At least, that's what I call it, but Lords and Ladies is another common name for Arum maculatum. We have some growing in our garden flower beds, self-set, but this was growing on a nearby roadside bank. As you can tell, we've still had not a drop of rain. But a light breeze made today's hot temperatures easier-going. And I can't say I'm tired of this hot spell yet - loving the deep blue sea and sky. Hope it stays a little longer as our daughter's arriving tomorrow for a few days.
