Clouded Yellow

Today is butterfly counting day. The butterfly bush flowers have turned brown and the butterfly population has dropped precipitously. So where yesterday we might have counted ten of each kind, today there are fewer than five. I photographed this Clouded Yellow hanging under a leaf. I think he was trying to avoid the heat. We are mostly staying in today. It is supposed to be even hotter than yesterday.
