The Harvest Begins

The summer has been so dry that the wild harvest will be virtually non-existent this year. There are very few bilberries and lingon berries and even those we can find are dried up and hard.
The garden will give us blackcurrants and red currants fortunately. The harvest there isn't brilliant either but it's better than I expected. Those bushes are at least 30 years old and I guess their roots go deep.
For us it's just a minor inconvenience that our usual harvest will be much reduced but I feel sorry for the farmers who have the same problems but in their case it is their livlihood at stake.
