Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Faces of Fiona #74

Today was a holiday from school so we took Tatum and Fiona to the Aquarium (since the parents didn't have a holiday). It was ocean science weekend so there were experiments to try with a straw and paper clip "cartesian diver", ocean in a bottle, and how does salt and fresh water mix. It was excellent. felt like Ocean 101 for kids. They watched the diver in the large window on Puget Sound and later the world expert on ROVs (Remote Operational vehicle) was demonstrating what one ROV could do in the big tank, and the videos it was taking....
At home Tatum sang a few of the songs her choir sang for the Veteran's Day assembly for us (actually she started at the aquarium with this performance) and then they made pancakes. Tatum's Dad will be happy to know she can make the whole "recipe" by herself and now Fiona insists on helping! Tatum is very patient with her. I mostly do the flipping while they are shoving pancakes in their mouths.
No nap. Boppa took them home before dinner, different from the usual monday. Now it's time to relax! :-)
