Fascias and Soffits

Today is Day 1 of the refit of my fascias, soffits, guttering and down-pipes. The old guttering was leaking and over-topping and was very faded and clearly needed replacement and the cost of that was a fair chunk of having the whole thing done. It will also need very little maintenance. The fitters worked hard and got 3 out of 5 of the sections mostly done - see below. The good news is they've found nothing wrong with the roof timbers etc so far.

The self employed fitters for the fascias and soffits were sent out without: scaffolding being ordered for over the greenhouse; the wider trim needed for the porch; the correct guttering ends; the correct joints to match round to square down-pipes; and without the right number of down-pipes. Not sure what the point was of sending out a surveyor!!! It must drive them mad. I hope it doesn't rain tonight as three of the down-pipes aren't connected!
