Yellowhammer

We stopped off at the Sutton Bank visitors centre for a sandwich and a drink before we left the North York Moors and it was good to see the birds being fed too.  I’d spotted a male and female siskin on the feeders but in the brief time I was outside they didn’t return.  Unfortunately the rain and the arrival of my sandwich meant my birdwatching time was cut short. Since we’ve been home we’ve watered the plants in pots, including the tomatoes which were looking a bit sorry for themselves and unpacked.  It’s good to be home.
