JACK'S BISTRO - SO IT MUST BE SATURDAY!

I had a text yesterday from our older son, Martyn, to ask if we would be at Jack’s this morning and I told him we were hoping to be there.  I wasn’t sure if his wife, Dawn, would be with him or if our grandson, Josh, would be either, so it was a pleasant surprise when they all turned up.

We have had a lovely morning chatting - we don’t get together that often because we all lead busy lives, so it was good to be able to sit and chat without worrying about the time - well except for the fact that we had to think about the car - and sometimes the traffic wardens can be very strict.

However, we got back to the car with about two minutes to spare, but not before I had taken this photograph.  Another lovely one for the album!

As Josh is reading Law at university, we chatted about various aspects of Brexit and other current issues (are there any others?) and it is good to listen to the viewpoint of a younger member of society.  Our son thinks whatever happens, it will take about twenty years for it to have any effect, by which time Mr. HCB and I will probably be too old to worry!

A very pleasant morning - we should do it more often.  We are all getting together on 7th September for a games evening, and our granddaughter, Charlotte, and her boyfriend, Jordan, will also be there, so we look forward to that.  We are quite a competitive family when it comes to games, so it will be an interesting evening!

They are God’s gift to you,
