Caley

The first league game of the new SPFL season saw Falkirk play host to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Apart from the first ten minutes it was a slow first half, with Caley Thistle (in white) taking an early lead. However, the pace picked up in the second half, although there wasn't a lot of quality on show. Falkirk huffed and puffed, had a 'goal' ruled out by the match officials to the annoyance of most of the crowd, but otherwise didn't really look like getting an equaliser.

A draw might have been a fair result, but the match ended 0-1. Only another 35 league games to go!
