Peloton

The Women's Road Race of the European Championship cycling event took place in Glasgow city centre on Sunday afternoon.

I had arranged to meet up with friends and we had a most enjoyable time, stopping for a while at one vantage point before moving on to another. The leaders and the peloton were taking just over 20 minutes to complete a circuit of the course (it was a nine-lap race), so that gave us plenty of time to get from 'a' to 'b', wherever we decided would give us a different view of the action.

We watched the last two laps from Montrose Street, which was a really steep uphill section near the end of the course. The main blip shows the peloton coming down the other side of the hill after their climb, while the extras show the riders going up the Montrose Street hill. I reckon they all deserve a medal for that effort!
