Small White Butterfly.

As usual we were prepping Amber Nook.  I have hardly seen any butterflies this year and there were three fluttering around the Lavender outside the Lodge.  As usual with butterflies (well for me at least) they hardly stay still for more than a second or two.  By the time I have any thing vaguely approaching focus off they go again.  This is a lucky shot as it left the flower.

This is a female of what we called as kids "Cabbage Whites".   As I remember things we saw far more Large Whites then than I do now.  Both species have caterpillars which feed on members of the Brassica family, the commonest being the cabbage.
