Wrestling- Bridge of Allan Games

The first weekend in August is the annual Bridge of Allan Games and I always like to pop along for a while.
Today though I was late, due to other commitments and M declined to come to the Games on the grounds he had already been once. That is not the point I tell him but he does not listen.

Anyway I could not get close to the ring because of the crowds.
(Hence my blurry photo of wrestlers.)

Over ten years ago I made video of the wrestlers at the Bridge of Allan Games. It’s on YouTube  (apologies for poor quality- technology has moved on a lot since then) and it got a surprising number of hits- I think because there was a young blonde woman tossing men around.

Memo to self: start using a proper camera. I have got very lazy and rely on my iPhone, which is great for nearby shot but hopeless for distance- witness today’s photo.

The question is – to what? ease of use is my top priority.
What would you recommend? I don’t want to get bogged down in technical stuff and the came must be light enough that I would actually carry it with me most of the time. (Who was it said that the best camera is the one in your pocket?)
