Corbridge Chamber Music Festival - Day 3

It is all over for another year!

We are full to the brim with sublime music and with the wonderful, friendly atmosphere of the festival.

Sad for us is the fact that Alice Neary, pictured here, is leaving the Gould Piano Trio. We saw her when she first joined in 2002 and we have watched as her playing has matured and she has given birth to 3 lovely children. Her husband, David Adams, plays violin and viola in the festivals. Alice is now principal cellist with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, a very demanding job. Something had to give and it is her trio work. We will miss her.

We had Mozart, Watkins and Brahms tonight. The Brahms piano quintet was completely transporting.

Back next year.

We were out nearly all day because we had lunch with Jenny and Dennis. Daisy did not come back in at tea time and has not returned tonight. As we sat and watched we saw the hedgehog come into the conservatory and eat cat food, ignoring the tasty hedgehog food on a plate outside!!
