Thanks Laurie64 for hosting but I’m sorry I can’t think of a connection to the theme of “blast” here, except to say we are having a blast of a time on the Gold Coast.
That is actually a bit of an exaggeration. It’s not schoolies week (this is where kids come to kick up their heels when they finish their final exams) but we are having a nice time.
Helen and her boyfriend are having a mini break here and had a spare room so invited us for a night on the way home.
As you can see it looks considerably more luxurious than our accommodation at the reunion. That doesn’t mean it is more expensive. It would have been but our Helen is a master at finding bargains and this definitely was one :-)
The Gold Coast is not where we would choose for a holiday, neither would Helen, but a bargain is a bargain and it is actually nicer here than we expected.
The extras are views from our apartment. We are on the 15th of 70 floors!
