Morning walk.

Today we went for our walk earlier in the morning before the day became too hot.
It was to be the last of the hot days according to the meteorological information in the media. We are constantly being updated about the temperatures, records being broken, then how all this is most likely climate change due to  global warming. It certainly feels as if there are more extremes of weather this summer.
However we have not suffered as some others, watching the continuing news of raging fires in California and some parts of Europe with extreme heat up to 45C, which you would expect in some Middle Eastern countries.
Here in the UK we have not been used to this kind of prolonged heat.
We went into Sutton Park. 2,400 acres in an urban setting.

(This says it is a business site but it is the website for the nature reserve.)
There are several large pools. This year pedalos have been introduced on Blackroot Pool for the first time. A welcome attraction in this beautiful long summer we are having at the moment.
Once again there was hardly a breath of wind. The light was sharp in the bright sunshine. We stopped for a coffee at the Bistro which always does a roaring trade for visitors who frequent the park. Cyclists, runners, dog walkers, ramblers, families, and people like my self who simply love to be outdoors walking in such lovely surroundings. In fact there is something to enjoy for anyone who makes a visit.
We spotted some old friends and spent a bit of time chatting and having a general catch up, before walking onwards once more.
I love trees. I find them majestic and stately. I like to paint pictures of trees.
I used to be always outdoors when I was young, living on the edge of open fields in the Pennine foothills. Guess what? I loved climbing trees and roaming the hills!
We returned home as the midday heat was beginning to climb.
Yet by the evening the heat was beginning to lessen with a fresh and welcome breeze.
