How many Blippers out there were Swallows and Amazons enthusiasts in their younger years?

Here today in Arnside people were given the chance to sail in a replica of one of Arthur Ransome’s own boats.
This is named after Peggy Blackett who was of course an Amazon.
It is a replica of a boat built by Crossfields of Arnside for Arthur Ransome in 1934. Later he had another one built called Swallow.

I was certainly influenced by those books. And I have climbed Kanchenjunga.
