If you can't beat them...

The day we set up for Dalston Show.  We like to get on any showground early as it makes positioning the Trailer and Land Rover so much easier when there is nobody on the stands beside you.

The show coincides with the last weekend of the villages festival and scarecrows seem to be part of it.  Last year there was one at the entrance to the village which rather un-nerved me as an arm moved in the wind and I thought I was being signalled to slow down.  This one was at a farm entrance some distance out of the village.

We were one of the first traders to arrive, pitches were being measured out and marquees erected.  The show secretary called in as we were setting up to congratulate and thank Clickychick & "The Mate" for the years they have loyally attended and supported the show.  That was extremely nice and not required but very welcome.
