Wide Wednesday: An Emotional Encounter

As we strolled around Poole Quay area, I noticed what I subsequently found to be a small 15th century grade 1 listed house. There was a sign outside inviting you in.

I walked through (rooms depicting life in those days) and to my amazement came across this secret garden.

I honestly became quite emotional, the garden was so unexpected and beautifully laid out. I had absolutely no idea this oasis existed.

The guides inside explained the house and garden are open to the public in August, otherwise it is used by schools, by arrangement etc.

Definitely worth popping in (free) if you are in the area.
